Wouldn't it be nice to work in a small beach town with daily views of the ocean? The City of Pismo Beach is looking for enthusiastic applicants for permanent part-time positions in the City's Maintenance Department.
The employee will work 19-20 hours per week; weekend and holiday shifts may be required.
The ideal candidate will be reliable and honest, able to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
The candidate must like the outdoors and enjoy working outside.
This position will primarily work in the downtown plaza maintaining the public spaces.
Under direct or general supervision, provides assistance to the City's Maintenance Workers.
Performs a variety of work in maintenance and repair of City infrastructure, including streets, traffic controls and structures, storm drains, parks, landscapes, the City pier, beaches, and facilities; provides assistance with set-up and removal of equipment and facilities at special events; uses and operates a variety of manual and power tools and light to heavy power driven equipment; and performs related work as required.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
