To this end, we are seeking a Principal Product Manager Technical.
You will work with operations and engineering teams to devise and deliver new robot manipulation products that help us serve our customers better.
You will own all parts of the product life-cycle, from product definition to delivery.
You will guide the team in making high judgement and data driven decisions about all aspects of the product, both business and technical, from the concept of operations and the technical trade-space.
You excel at providing clarity in the face of high ambiguity and in aligning diverse stakeholders.
You are obsessed with delighting your customer and you will thrive in a highly collaborative, creative, analytical, and fast-paced environment in solving problems in connecting the suppliers to the customers optimally.
Responsibilities include identification of product opportunities, determination of operational and systems requirements, determining product requirements, driving product decisions and development, and managing the production launch and continuous improvement.
You will work with internal science and engineering teams, using a mixture of simulation, technical analysis, data and high judgement to guide the key decisions about your product to maximise value to operations.
This includes working with the team to make appropriate tradeoffs to optimize time-to-launch.
The right candidate will possess a strong product management background, and will have a well-rounded technical background in several of software and hardware systems, control, automation and robotics.
You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities.
This means you are not only able to develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives, but can also roll up your sleeves, dig in and get the job done.
As a Principal PMT, you will anticipate problems long before their occur, provide escalation and stakeholder management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints.
An ability to take large, complex products and break them down into manageable pieces, develop requirements and specifications, then deliver them in a successful and timely manner is expected.
Maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytical talent and leadership are essential to success in this role.

A day in the lifeYou will spend time at operations sites, diving deep on the process paths and surrounding FC systems to determine the viable concept of operations.
You will work closely with finance partners to determine the correct financial model.
You will work with the science and engineering teams to find the technically feasible solutions and you will meet regularly with leadership to align on the product definition and design.
You will also partner with multiple teams across operations and global robotics where your product interacts with their systems.
About the teamWe are a team of 100 engineers, scientists, product and program managers.
Our charter is to create and deliver new products in robotic manipulation.
We focus on cases where robotics is the best or only way to solve our customer's needs.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
