We are seeking a highly motivated Model Risk Analyst for Amazon's Consumer Payment organization, who will be responsible for executing model risk governance activities and performing independent model validation.
In this highly visible role, you will be responsible for collaborating cross-functionally with model owners to implement and maintain model risk management framework and perform model validation.
About Amazon's Consumer Payments organization:
The Consumer Payments (CP) organization is responsible for managing the payment methods that we accept around the world, the supply chain needed for Amazon to accept payments, the paying customer experience, and driving down Amazon's Cost of Payments.
We are also responsible for creating and operating a collection of Amazon-branded payment products (including Gift Cards, Credit Card Products, Amazon Currency Converter, and Shop with Points), as well as the Business Payments, Seller Lending, and Amazon Pay businesses.

Core
Responsibilities:
Serve as a subject matter expert for executing against the model risk management policy, governance and framework and performing model validationDesign specific validation plans to provide effective challenge to models, including assessments of overall design, underlying theoretical approaches, data quality and controls, model specification and estimation, development testing, implementation, use, and approvals.
Provide guidance to business stakeholders in the management of models including identification of models, documentation of model design, assumptions/limitations, administration, output and uses, governance, change management, and input processing.
Perform independent model validation and analyze factors that augment quantitative models (judgement decisions and other qualitative factors); review to confirm proper controls and adequate documentation are in place.
Prepare reports documenting the findings of validation review and analysis.
Present results and recommendations for changes, continued use or rejection of models to model developers, model owners, and business leadership.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
