Technical Program Manager, Alexa Excellence
Job summaryAlexa Excellence is seeking a Technical Program Manager (TPM) to drive its Quality, Logging, and availability program for highly critical Alexa services.
The TPM will contribute in maintaining and improving Alexa's quality and availability which in turn improves the Alexa customer experience.
Key job responsibilitiesIn this role you will be responsible for helping establish greenfield-type initiatives across Alexa as well as continuously improve our established programs.
The right candidate will enjoy finding solutions to hard problems, possess a strong technical program management background, will have demonstrated experience leading large programs with a well-rounded technical background in software development and cloud infrastructure.
You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities.
This means you are not only able to develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives, but can also roll up your sleeves, dig in and get the job done.
As a TPM, you will anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints.
An ability to take large, complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces, develop functional specifications, then deliver them in a successful and timely manner is expected.
Maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytical talent and leadership are essential to success in this role.
About the teamAlexa Excellence teams operate programs to increase the stability and performance of all Alexa customer experiences.
The organization is responsible for delivering tools and platforms to efficiently test Alexa for function and scale, improving Alexa's readiness by implementing development best practices and building tools and services to detect, respond, and promptly recover, from outages and improving Alexa's response times for both voice and action intents.
The tools and platforms developed are used by several hundred teams across Alexa.
They educate all developers about different components of the overall Alexa software system to ensure each developer is aware of the wider system impact their code has.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
