The Information Systems Analyst III is an advanced technical position performing difficult and high impact duties within the Help Desk and Infrastructure Services Endpoint Support team.
Duties include primary responsibility for expert level implementation, administration, maintenance and/or troubleshooting of enterprise platforms in areas such as productivity applications (Microsoft Office 365/Adobe), IT service management (ServiceNow), directory services and user management infrastructure (Microsoft Active Directory/ Azure AD/Group Policy/Entra ID), file sharing platforms (Egnyte/Dropbox), video conferencing (Zoom/Microsoft Teams), virtual desktop infrastructure (VMWare VDI), endpoint management tools (SCCM/MDT/WDS), and other related solutions.
Additional responsibilities include; administration and maintenance of the asset inventory system, planning, coordination, and collaboration with the Network Administration and Software Services staff.
The Information Systems Analyst III will provide top tier support for endpoint issues, coordination with relevant third-party vendors and consultants for support and project execution.
This position offers training, mentorship, and additional support for staff within Infrastructure Services.

Experience:
Five (5) years of business systems, GIS, web technologies, and/or software development and analysis experience.

Interpret and analyze complex user information systems requirements and develop solutions.
Perform the most complex spatial analysis using multiple attributes and virtual scenarios.
Train, organize, assign, and review the work of staff.
Recommend, design, implement, and install computer software applications.
Install, troubleshoot, and upgrade Valley Water's information systems applications.
Perform complex spatial analysis using multiple attributes and virtual scenarios.
Design, install, test, implement and maintain Valley Water internet and intranet web sites and related applications.
Upgrade and configure web servers to optimize applications.
Provide technical support for the implementation, maintenance, and documentation of various software applications, including user procedures.
Respond to and identify user needs and determine resolutions.
Apply methods and techniques of application design, development, and implementation.
Detect, isolate, and resolve application problems.
Analyze and assess the technological needs of Valley Water departments.
Provide advice, assist, and train others.
Read and interpret a variety of instructional manuals and written instructions.

Ideal Training and Education:
Equivalent to a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
SubstitutionDirectly related experience may be substituted for the college requirement on the basis of one and one-half years of experience for one year of education.
