65% Market Increase) Community Health Promotion Specialist I incumbents are responsible for independently planning, designing, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive public health education, community health education, and health promotion programs.
As a Community Health Promotion Specialist I, you will prepare comprehensive, technical education and health promotion programs and materials for a wide variety of audiences on any number of health topics.
The following departments are recruiting for a Community Health Promotion Specialist I:
Public Health Services, Homeless Solutions and Equitable Communities, and Aging & Independence Services.
The position in the Department of Public Health Services will work in the HIV, STD and Hepatitis Branch will work on the following key projects/initiatives.

Develop and implement health education focused on educating San Diego County residents and recruit members of the HIV Planning Group.
Attend community engagement events to provide health education to persons living with or vulnerable to HIV.
Develop and distribute health information and other communications to members of the County of San Diego HIV Planning Group.
Maintain the HIV Planning Group's website.
The position in the Department of Homeless Solutions and Equitable Communities will focus on the following key projects/initiatives.

As part of the Community Health & Engagement Team, work across sectors to advance policy, systems, and environmental changes.
Organize and support Live Well San Diego Regional Leadership Team meetings and collaborate with partners to develop Community Enrichment Plans.
Develop visually appealing informational material, including pamphlets, flyers, and PowerPoint presentations, that are linguistically and culturally inclusive.
Establish and nurture relationships with both community partners and internal County departments.
Foster collaboration, share resources, and promote health initiatives within the community.
Lastly, the position in the Department of Aging and Independence Services will participate and lead the following key projects/initiatives.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
