Senior Admissions Clerks are responsible for the supervision, coordination, and scheduling of Admission Clerks, and the processing of persons being admitted to a County inpatient care facility.

Minimum QualificationsQualified candidates must possess:
Three (3) years of experience performing admissions or related clerical duties in a hospital, clinic, institution, or closely related work environment, one year of which must have been in a lead or supervisory capacity; OR,One (1) year as an Admissions Clerk for the County of San Diego.
Beginning July 1, 2022, the Department of Human Resources will remove personally identifiable information from all new recruitments.

Condition of EmploymentAs part of the County of San Diego's pre-employment process, prospective candidates will undergo a background check (including fingerprinting) and a pre-employment medical screening prior to beginning County employment.
Additional types of background investigations may be conducted based on the job-related activities of the position.
Employees who work at County locations subject to the California Department of Public Health State Public Health Officer order are required to be fully vaccinated.
In addition, booster-eligible employees must receive their booster by March 1, 2022, or within 15 days of becoming eligible for a booster if they are not eligible as of March 1, 2022.
If there are CDPH date changes for Booster compliance, employees must come into compliance in accordance with that date.
Under California Government Code Sections 3100 - 3109, public employees are designated as disaster service workers.
The term public employees includes all persons employed by the state or any county, city, state agency, or public district.
Disaster service workers are required to participate in such disaster service activities as may be assigned to them by their employer or by law.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
