The IT Programming Intern will report directly to the Programming Manager.
This position will focus on new technology research, process design, and development with the goal of improving efficiency and accuracy in the OCERS systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIESInclude but are not limited to the following:
Collaborate with experienced IT professionals on real-world projects.
Gain practical experience in automation, RPA, and AI technologies.
Contribute to the research, development, and implementation of new, modern IT solutions.
Participate in troubleshooting and problem-solving activities.
Assist in the maintenance and optimization of IT systems.
As an IT Programming intern, you will be involved in various aspects of automation, RPA, and AI, such as:
Developing, testing, and deploying automation scripts and workflows.
Analyzing business processes and identifying opportunities for improvement.
Designing, building, and integrating AI models and applications.
Researching and learning new technologies and best practices.
Collaborating with mentors, and professionals.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSThe minimum qualifications required for entry into this classification are as follows:
Education and/or ExperienceMust be enrolled in an accredited college or university from an associate's or bachelor's degree program with major coursework in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field that has provided a sound conceptual understanding of information technology, application development, and programming concepts with an expected graduation date in Winter 2024 or after.
Proven basic programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, C#, etc.
Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
Availability to work at least 20 hours per week for 3 months.
GPA of 3.
0 or higher.
