Supervising Office Assistants are responsible for supervising subordinate staff, directing the clerical/administrative support activities of more than one functional area or unit, and assisting in carrying out administrative policies and procedures.
The current vacancy is in the Department of Agriculture, Weights and Measures (AWM), however, the list established by this recruitment will also be used to fill vacancies in other County departments.
Bilingual candidates, candidates with experience with contract billing and invoicing in the government sector, and experience analyzing data for reports and presentations are highly desirable.

IDEAL CANIDATESThe ideal candidate has experience with contract billing and invoicing in the government sector and analyzing data for reports and presentations.
Bilingual speakers are highly desirable and encouraged to apply.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSFour (4) years of recent experience performing a wide variety of increasingly difficult and highly technical clerical/administrative support duties.
At least eighteen (18) months of this experience must have been performing duties identical to or at the level of a Senior Office Assistant in the County of San Diego or must have been performing duties identical to or at the level of an Office Support Specialist in the Registrar of Voters responsible for leading or supervising Election Workers and/or Poll Workers.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
