30% Market Increase) The County of San Diego is currently accepting applications forSENIOR STOREKEEPER Senior Storekeepers are allocated to various departments throughout the County of San Diego.
This is the first line supervisory level class in the Storekeeper and Stock Clerk class series.
Incumbents work under the general direction of a supervisor or manager and are solely responsible for planning, scheduling, directing, training, reviewing, and evaluating the work of Storekeepers, Stock Clerks, or other support staff assigned to a warehouse or multiple large storerooms of a department or division.

HIRING TIMELINE AND DATES The timeline for this recruitment is outlined below.
Pre-employment Medical Screening:
Approximately 3 days following successful background investigation results.
Anticipated Start Date:
Start date will be based upon successful completion of medical screening or other mutually agreed upon date.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSThree (3) years of store keeping or warehouse experience consisting of ordering, receiving, storing, and issuing supplies, materials, and equipment; OR,One (1) year experience as a Storekeeper with the County of San Diego.
Note:
Experience in providing first line or full supervision over employees responsible for performing storekeeping work is highly desirable.

CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT As part of the County of San Diego's pre-employment process, prospective candidates will undergo a background check (including fingerprinting) and a pre-employment medical screening prior to beginning County employment.

EVALUATION PROCESSThe names of qualified candidates will be placed on a six (6) month employment list based on scores received during the evaluation of information contained in their employment application and supplemental questionnaire.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
