Job location: Jacksonville, Florida
Summary: Produces machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned)
Operating & Programming for complex parts using CNC multi-axis lathes & mills (Use of G-code and/or conversational programming on Mazak and DMG Mori lathes & mills)
Develop machine set-ups, program edits, program saving, and working with tolerances to +/- .001
Demonstrate forward thinking to avoid problems, and effectively trouble-shoot any problems that do arise
Work with minimal supervision, but also engage productively within a team environment
Read 2-D shop prints and update paperwork accurately and in an organized manner
Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, and various other inspection equipment
Understand geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T) required
Select proper tooling for production and manufacturing
Perform prescribed preventive maintenance on machines as required per M/M schedules
Maintain high level of quality as identified by customer requirements
General shop duties as needed
Salary : $22.00 - $30.00 / Hour; Determined upon experience.

Education/
Experience:
5
years' experience in a manufacturing machining environment. Experience troubleshooting machining issues with various types of manual and CNC lathes & mills. Experience with high performance alloys (copper/nickel, Inconel, stainless alloys) a plus.

Math Ability:
Possess basic shop math skills and have the ability to use a variety of hand tools, machine tools and precision measuring instruments.
Reasoning Ability:
Possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables.

To be acquired as needed.
