Manager, SOC Crisis Response Team

The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Physical Security Operations (PsecOps) team works within the Security Operations Center (SOC) to manage fast-paced global operations associated with physical security and emergent events.
The PsecOps Team rapidly triages a diverse set of global events while collaborating with various stakeholders to drive resolution.
We are seeking an experienced Incident or Crisis Manager to lead the PsecOps team in bar-raising coordination and executive communication during physical security and life-safety events.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced leader and people manager with a proven ability to lead planning, mitigation, response and recovery efforts during high-stress events.
The successful candidate will thrive in fast paced and dynamic environments, operate at a high level of autonomy, and is a creative problem solver.
The candidate will be or become familiar with multiple facets of AWS while insisting on the highest standards for themselves and everyone they work with.
The candidate will consistently seek methods to improve crisis response and management quality and efficiency.
What you will do:
Manage high severity events by coordinating with stakeholders and providing status updates to leadership and customers Perform hierarchical escalations as needed.
Operate technical situational awareness and mass communication systems while safeguarding the integrity of sensitive information Engage with customers or partners for incident and impact clarification Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration and commitment across multiple disparate groups with competing priorities Participate in afterhours on-call escalation support Partner with on-site leads and internal teams to ensure effective post-incident analysis and participate in identifying solutions to mitigate future vulnerabilities Audit and improve upon high severity incident management and problem management processes Contribute to organizational strategyWhy it matters:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
