US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. To qualify at the GS-09 level based on experience you must have one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the GS-08 or equivalent level. Specialized Experience is defined as:
Monitoring and controlling project cost, quality and schedule and ensure projects are complete with pre-established schedules. Reviewing and distributing production, work and schedules. Communicating with department employees and supervisors to determine progress of work and projected completion dates. Compiling reports on progress of work, inventory levels, costs and production problems. OR Possess a master's degree or equivalent degree, or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position, such as business, engineering or mathematics field(s) of study. (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then, divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
