Who May Apply:

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element):
Ability to do the work of a(n) PAINTER without more than normal supervision. I have the ability to perform common painting work assignments. I can perform routine painting work assignments using common and accepted trade practices, methods and techniques. Prepare surfaces by sanding, scraping, and using special hand tools. Apply pre-mixed coating materials to various surfaces using brushes, rollers, sprayers, etc. applying basic finishing techniques. I work under normal supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed. - Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision Physical Effort:
The painter prepares and coats surfaces from ladders, scaffolds, and platforms, and in situations where the surfaces to be coated are in cramped and hard-to-reach places. The work may be at extreme heights (such as water towers or tall buildings). This requires the ability to stand, stoop, bend, kneel, climb, be strapped into swing stages, and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions. Ability to lift, carry, and set up materials and equipment that weigh up to 10 pounds. Occasionally, may be required to handle materials and equipment that weigh 40 pounds and over. Working Conditions:
The work is done inside and outside, with dirt, spray, and fumes usually present. The painter is sometimes required to prepare, treat, and finish surfaces outside in all types of weather. Protective equipment and clothing such as safety shoes, safety glasses or sun glasses, gloves rain gear, hard hats, coveralls, respirators and other protective gear are required, which are sometimes heavy and uncomfortable. Frequent exposure to the possibility of cuts and bruises; may occasionally be exposed to the possibility of broken bones.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
